Overview

Libin earned his bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Physics from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, Kerala, India, in 2013. He further pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics at the prestigious Madras Christian College, Chennai, India, graduating in 2015.

In 2016, Libin commenced his professional journey as support and supervisory staff for a fiber optics OSP deployment project at Ooredoo, Qatar. During this time, he adeptly managed multiple projects. However, driven by his passion for optics and photonics, particularly harnessing light as a versatile tool for applications such as lasers, optical communication, imaging, sensing, and more, Libin decided to pursue a second master’s degree in Photonics engineering. In 2020, he relocated to Belgium for his M.Sc. and graduated as a Photonics engineer from Vrije University Brussels (VUB).

Research/Roles

Libin George Mathew, an Optical Engineer at Quantlase Lab, brings a comprehensive understanding of Photonics engineering supported by a robust educational background in Physics.

He joined Quantlase Lab in December 2023 as an Optical Engineer. He is currently involved in a groundbreaking project focused on an optical decision-making system based on a photonic entropy source. His responsibilities include the design and experimentation of optical setups, integration of optical systems with control devices to ensure optimal functionality, theoretical studies, and staying abreast of the latest scientific advancements through extensive readings. Libin's commitment to remaining at the forefront of his field positions him as a valuable contributor to the development of innovative solutions within the realm of optical engineering
